Amherst Academies Students Compete In Stock Market Challenge

From The Recent Past -

  • On Saturday, December 7, a team of students from our Coding & Programming Group consisting of Collin Olkowski (Captain), Ben Corby, Christian Horne, and Jerid Warren, placed 3rd at the High School Lockdown Cyber Security Competition held at the UB Jacobs Management Center. The High School Lockdown is a defensive security competition run by the University at Buffalo Network DefenseThere were 12 teams from Buffalo and Rochester area schools. At this day-long hands-on competition, the students, in teams of 4 or less, were to defend a small network of systems from a cyber attack. They were scored based on how long their services were available (service uptime) as well as other timed tasks. Our students had a great time and are looking forward to the February competition. Congratulations Tigers!

Doing Great Things

Our Students In Action

Thank you to you and your students for an absolutely wonderful job today.  I was blown away by the caliber of the presentations, the innovation, the passion for their ideas, and the quality of research performed.  What a wonderful opportunity for them and they are lucky to have you guide them.

Buffalo is a city of innovation and I encourage them to continue to look for opportunity.

Thank you!
